Uganda Safari and Trekking Package: The Pearl of Africa
Overview: This 10-day package is a streamlined and highly focused itinerary designed for an adventurous couple. It concentrates on Uganda's most iconic wildlife and primate experiences, from the powerful Murchison Falls to the awe-inspiring gorilla trekking in Bwindi. This itinerary provides a comprehensive journey without feeling rushed.
Best Time to Travel: August 2026 August falls within Uganda's long dry season (June to September). This is considered the best time for a safari and trekking because:
- Optimal for Wildlife Viewing: The vegetation is less dense, and animals congregate around water sources, making them easier to spot during game drives.
- Favorable for Trekking: The trails in the rainforests of Bwindi and Kibale are drier and less muddy, making the hikes for gorilla and chimpanzee trekking more manageable.
- Generally Clear Weather: You can expect sunny days with a lower chance of rainfall.
Detailed Itinerary with Explanations: 10-Day "Ultimate Ugandan Explorer"
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe & Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport (EBB), you will be met by your professional safari guide and begin your journey. This is a unique and intimate experience that allows you to get up close to the magnificent southern white rhinos. Accompanied by a knowledgeable ranger, you will trek through the sanctuary's plains to where the rhinos are located, learning about their behaviors and the vital conservation efforts to reintroduce them to Uganda's national parks.

You will cross the Nile by ferry to the northern bank, check into your lodge, and prepare for an afternoon of wildlife spotting.
Activity: Afternoon game drive on the savannah plains
An excellent opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife. The park is home to four of the "Big 5" (lions, leopards, elephants, and buffaloes). You will also likely see the magnificent Rothschild's giraffes, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and a host of other antelope species.
Day 3: Boat Cruise to the Bottom of the Falls & Top of the Falls Hike The day begins with a thrilling boat cruise on the Nile River, upstream to the base of Murchison Falls.

The climax is witnessing the immense power of the world's most powerful waterfall as the Nile plunges through a narrow gorge.
Activity: Hike to the top of the fall
After the cruise, you will disembark and hike to the top of the falls. This provides a different perspective of the falls, where you can feel the mist and thunderous roar while marveling at the sheer force of the water as it is squeezed through the 6-meter-wide gorge.
Day 4: Journey to Kibale Forest National Park After an early breakfast, you will begin a long but scenic drive to Kibale Forest National Park. This journey takes you through the lush landscapes of western Uganda, with its picturesque tea plantations and terraced hills. Activity: Afternoon game drive in the Ishasha sector
In the afternoon, you will drive to the southern Ishasha sector of the park, famous for its unique tree-climbing lions. A game drive here offers a rare chance to see these impressive predators lounging in fig trees, a behavior not commonly seen in other parts of Africa.
Day 8: Journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park After a final breakfast and game drive, you will head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the highlight of your trip. The journey is scenic, with stunning views of the terraced hillsides and the Virunga volcanoes. You will arrive at your lodge located near the gorilla trekking start point in the late afternoon.
