Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe/Kampala → Murchison Falls National Park

Your adventure begins with a prompt morning pick-up from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. Settle into our comfortable 4x4 safari vehicle as we embark on a scenic drive through Uganda's heartland. The journey is a feast for the eyes, passing through vibrant villages, lush farmlands, and sprawling tea plantations.

Optional Rhino Tracking: For a truly immersive start, we can make a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Here, a dedicated ranger will guide you on foot through the sanctuary, allowing you to get up close and personal with these magnificent endangered creatures. This is Uganda’s only white rhino sanctuary, making it a powerful conservation experience.
Afternoon Game Drive: After a delicious lunch, we will enter the park and begin our first game drive in the Para or Buligi Sector. This vast savannah is the perfect introduction to Murchison’s wildlife. Watch for herds of graceful Rothschild's giraffes, towering elephants, and powerful buffalo. Keep your binoculars ready for a glimpse of lions, leopards, or hyenas resting in the shade. As the sun begins to set, the golden light casts a magical glow over the landscape, creating perfect photo opportunities.

We'll then check into a carefully selected mid-range lodge, where you can relax by the river, and let the sounds of the African night—from the grunting of hippos to the chirping of crickets—lull you into a state of tranquility.

Day 2: Full Safari Experience — Game Drive, Boat Cruise & Top of the Falls

Rise early for the best time of the day!

Early Morning Game Drive: At 6:30 AM, we set off to catch the predators in action. Lions and leopards are most active at dawn, as are the large herds of elephants and buffalo. Our expert guide will navigate the game tracks, pointing out a variety of wildlife and an incredible diversity of birds, including ground hornbills and various raptors.
Lunch & Relaxation: After the exhilarating morning drive, we return to the lodge for a well-deserved breakfast and a chance to relax before lunch.
Afternoon Boat Cruise on the Nile: This is a highlight of your safari. We'll board a launch boat for a memorable cruise upstream towards the base of Murchison Falls. The riverbanks are teeming with life—you'll see massive pods of hippos submerged in the water, prehistoric-looking crocodiles sunbathing on the banks, and a wide array of birds, from vibrant kingfishers to majestic fish eagles. The boat gets you right to the foot of the falls, a truly humbling experience.
Hike to the Top of the Falls (Optional): For those seeking a more adventurous perspective, you can disembark from the boat and embark on a guided hike to the very top of Murchison Falls. The 45-minute trek rewards you with a heart-pounding view of the entire Nile forcing its way through the narrow gorge. This is a moment you’ll remember forever.

After a thrilling day, we return to the lodge for dinner and a chance to unwind under a canopy of stars, sharing stories around a campfire.

Day 3: Optional Activity & Return to Kampala/Entebbe

Enjoy a final breakfast at your lodge, soaking in the last moments of the park's tranquil atmosphere. Before we depart, you have the option of adding a final activity (at extra cost) to your safari:

Nature Walk: Join a ranger for a guided walk, exploring the smaller flora and fauna of the park on foot.
Cultural Tour: Visit a nearby community to learn about the local traditions, dances, and way of life.

Afterward, we'll begin our journey back to Kampala/Entebbe. We'll have a stop for lunch and refreshments, reminiscing about the incredible sights and sounds of the past three days. Your driver will drop you off at your hotel or the airport, concluding your unforgettable safari.
