Day 1: Murchison Falls & the Roaring Nile

Welcome to Uganda! Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup and a scenic drive north to Murchison Falls National Park. This journey is a vibrant introduction to Uganda's heartland, passing through rural villages and lush countryside.

  • Journey Time: Approximately 6 hours.

  • Afternoon Boat Safari: The highlight of your day will be a spectacular boat cruise up the Victoria Nile. As you glide along, you'll be treated to a wildlife spectacle unlike any other. Witness hundreds of hippos submerged in the water, powerful Nile crocodiles basking on the banks, and a myriad of thirsty animals like buffalo and antelopes gathering at the river's edge.

  • The Top of the Falls: The boat safari culminates at the base of the mighty Murchison Falls. From here, you'll disembark and take a thrilling drive to the top of the falls, where the entire force of the Nile is squeezed through a narrow seven-meter gorge. The deafening roar and misty spray are an unforgettable sensory experience and a perfect spot for stunning photos.

  • Accommodation: Spend the night at a budget-friendly lodge overlooking the Nile, where you might even spot hippos grazing near your cottage or hear their calls from your veranda.
